How long does a fiber installation take?
If Ting Internet is new to your neighborhood, it takes about three weeks from conducting an initial home assessment to having your connection set up.
How much speed do I need?
That depends on what your household uses the internet for. Here’s how much speed you need for common uses, measured in megabits per second (Mbps):
- Up to 25 Mbps for email, browsing, and casual streaming
- 25-50 Mbps for video calling, streaming music and HD video
- 50-100 Mbps for streaming 4K video, home offices, and gaming
- 200+ Mbps for streaming 4K video on multiple devices, smart home connectivity and elite-level gaming
